What are TTRPGs?
TTRPGs, or Table-Top Roleplaying Games, are collaborative storytelling games where the players embody fictional characters in a world run by a GM (Game Master - that's where we come in!). These games are governed (often loosely) by rules, and (more strictly) by Lady Luck, in the form of dice rolls!
Popular TTRPGs include Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade.
Do I have to make a character?
Yes - to play any TTRPG, you must have a character that you play as. However, if you're new to playing, we will help you make your first characters, or make them for you to your preference! This is often the most intimidating part of playing any TTRPG for new players, but rest assured, our expert GMs will be there to help you every step of the way!
How many people can I play with?
Usually, TTRPGs are made up of 1 GM and 4-6 players. However, if you're wanting more or less than this, that's no problem! Just enquire and talk to us about your needs, and we'll help in any way we can!
Can I play with my group more than one time?
Absolutely! Many TTRPGs are made up of many sessions, which make up a campaign. While you can play just one session for a birthday party, corporate gathering, etc., we also run longer campaigns. Some of our current campaigns have been going on for years!
Do I have to bring my group, or do you provide one?
We don't provide groups to play with, only GMs who run the games. If you're looking for a group to play with, some good places are the 'All Things D&D: Looking for Group' and 'Dungeons & Dragons Group Finder' Facebook pages, where you can find likeminded individuals and then come to us for a game!
Do I need to learn the rules before playing?
Not if you don't want to! We love hosting games for beginners and experts alike, so if you already know the rules to your chosen TTRPG - that's great! Don't stress if you don't though, if your group is new to the game, we will be more than happy to teach you! We know a lot of TTRPGs can be intimidating upon first glance, but rest assured - when you start playing it becomes way easier, and we can handle all the tricky bits for you!
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! Our GMs come prepared with all equipment that you need for your games, so you don't need to worry about buying or bringing anything for your game! However, we always welcome players who want to show off the cool set of dice they just bought, so feel free to bring anything you want (including snacks)!
Where are your games held?
This is up to you! We travel to where our clients want us to be on the day, and if this is too far a distance, we also host online sessions! When inquiring, we will always ask where you want the session to be, and we'll work it out from there!
